Jesus healed many and astonished the crowd watching him. I think that some people are seeing Jesus in a way that he is only a healer. So they bring all their loved ones to get restored.

For someone starting off in ministry Jesus is pretty low key. The demons knew who he was (v. 34) but he wouldn’t let them demon expose him, quite contrary to what we would expect. He even sends the people he heals with warnings to be quiet (v. 44)

John’s humbleness and disciples obedience stands out.

After getting baptized by John and then being in the wilderness for 40 days, the first thing Jesus did was preaching about the gospel of the kingdom of God

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. Even though he was busy he spend time in prayer in the morning. We should also spend time in prayer in the morning

Jesus prayed. Enuf said.

Authority of Jesus:
-(v. 22) Jesus taught them as one who had “authority”, not as the teachers of the law. People were so amazed of His teaching.
-(v. 27) Jesus said “Be quite, Come out of him”, the impure spirit came out of him with a shriek. “What an authority”, people we so amazed.
-Jesus had authority over everything because, God himself said “Your are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased”. And also, “the Spirit of God descended and stay upon Him” (vv.10-11).
