Mark 9

There are things that can be achieved only through prayer (v. 29)

Jesus says, “All things can be done for the one who believes” (v. 23). He also points out the importance of prayer in the same passage. We should pray believing that God can do great and mighty things.

Tough times, difficult circumstances and impossible situations- PRAYER is the best possible answer. Let us boldly go into the presence of God.

(v. 1) And He said to them , “Assuredly , I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.” Acts 7:55 But He (Stephen) , being full of the Holy Spirit , gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God , and Jesus standing at the right hand of God , 56 and said , “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
– Whoever born in spirit are part of His Kingdom. This seem to have started functioning from Jesus’s ascension. Stephen may be one of the ‘some’ Jesus referred in verse1.

Eden Gardens, Paradise, Kingdom of God …all seem to refer the same. So, it was there from the beginning but it has come near us with power. It is now reachable to everyone. Reason: Jesus Christ!

(vv. 43-47) It is better to enter life maimed, crippled and with one eye than to enter hell. Did you enter life? How was your experience? Do you remember when you passed from death to life? Or do you think you will enter life sometime in the future?

If you are ahead in the path of life, inform us of any danger on the way.

If you are behind us, tell us if we are on the path of life.

If you don’t know where you are and where we are, let us both pray for guidance

May the God IAMTHATIAM lead us to safety

I can say I entrered life. You all know when that was and how excited I was during that period.Paul says ‘நிழலாட்டமாய் பார்க்கிறோம்’.
I don’t see clearly but as long as I could see a dim picture, I am happy and I pray for a better sight.

How is our prayer life? Can people glorify God seeing us, our behavior?
These were the two questions that came into my mind reading this chapter.
Our lives should be a testimony. The more time we spend in prayers and meditating His words, the more closer we get to our Heavenly Father. When we are closer to God, it’ll get reflected in our behavior and in us.

Have salt in yourselves and have peace with one another

(vv. 23, 24) Jesus said “Everything is possible for one who believes”, the boy’s father said “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”.
-It’s an realistic answer from the man. We need to overcome the unbelief that is in us. Even to overcome the unbelief, we need to believe in Him, we need to remain in Him. He is our only Hope!
