Psalm 16

Psalm 16: “apart from you I have no good thing” (v. 2)

V.11 You will show me the path of Life and there is fullness of joy.

Vs 5 – Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup.

Psalms 16: In thy presence is fullness of joy

Psalms 16: (V8)I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand I will not be shaken. (V9) Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices. –When we have our eyes always on the Lord and seek him, our heart will be glad. When our life is committed to God, it is secure. Infinite pleasure and joy is in Christ Jesus.

“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭16:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
Lord you will full fill my life with Joy and eternal pleasures. Why would I be saddened? V8, with my Lord at my right hand I’ll never ever will be shaken or fall apart. We shouldn’t be scared for anything because God will always be there for us no matter what.

Psalm 16 is my favorite in the entire corpus of songs in scriptures. For quality- there is “heavenly”
For quantity – there is “fullness”
For stability – there is “Gods right hand”
For repetition – there is “evermore”
For dwelling – there is “in thy presence”
And what is it all of them “pleasures” and “joy”..
This is song that we will sing when we wake up from our grave on our first redirection morning

Redirection=resurrection

The First Commandment is “You shall have no other gods before Me” (Exodus 20:3). In Psalm 16, the punishment for following another god is clearly stated: “…sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god…” (v. 4). In addition, God will not speak those individuals’ names, which indirectly means that he will forget us. God takes this seriously and must be the only god we worship if we are to have “favor and a good name in the sight of God and man” (Proverbs 3:4). –

“I have set the Lord, always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” ~ Psalm 16:8. When God is our first priority in life, He will always be at our side and we will not be “shaken” by the evil thing of the world. –

: (v10) God will not abandon us (his children) at anytime.

(v8,9) I will rejoice and be glad for I will not be shaken, because the Lord is at my right hand.

கர்த்தரை எப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்திருக்கிறேன்;

Psalm 16 -(v2) You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.
-Yes, whatever worldly things we may have is “absolutely nothing” compared to our Lord Jesus Christ.
-The richest thing that we could have in the earth is owing Him, our Lord!

Psalm 16:8 -I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved- In every place, in every condition, in every company and in every enjoyment, I have set the Lord before me. Thank you Lord for giving me this confidence and being my leader and protector..

Psalm 16: David’s one and only good thing is God. In verse 2, David says, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”
