Psalm 17

Ps 17:4As for the deeds of men
By the word of your lips
I have kept myself
From the ways of the violent.
17:5
My steps have held to your paths;
My feet have not slipped.
17:8
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings
NIV

Psalm -(v5) My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not stumbled.
-When we are in His foot paths, no need to worry about “anything”.
-Our journey will be joyful, fearless, and the ultimate destination (eternal) is so guaranteed. He is the Way, let’s follow “His foot paths”.

Hide me in the shadow of your wings. Rescue me by your sword

Psalms 17: (v8) Keep me as the apple of your eye, hide me in the shadow of the wings.(v7) Show me the wonders of your great love. — You are my refuge Lord, I will seek protection only in you Lord. Thank you for being my protector.

David ensures that “running the race” is actually worth the reward by juxtaposition the last 2 verses on purpose: while those who do not follow God are living and working for THIS life while receiving temporary satisfaction (v. 14), those who do follow God live and work for the ETERNAL life to receive long-lasting satisfaction (v. 15). –

“Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” ~ Psalm 17:8God will always take special care for us and guard us and he will never forsake us.

3 things I learned from Psalms-171)King David was too open to God to share his strength and weakness to get help. Am I ready to openly talk to God to get help.?
2) He believed that the Lord help him! Do I really believe him for help ?? Or else believe in my own strength for succeed !!
3) He is looking for God’s likeness!!! To whom I look for my likeness???

Psalm 17: “Guard me as the apple of the eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings” (v. 8). Great prayer! David was confident that his prayers will be answered (v. 6).

Psalm 17: “show me the wonders of your great love” (v. 7)

You have tried my heart, you have visited me by night, you have tested me, and you will find nothing; – Psalm 17:3. David has lead a clean life and so when tested and checked there was no evil. David was very confident about his clean heart, let’s pursue to lead a clean life
