Psalm 59

Psalm 59: 16 for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
17 You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my loving God.

Psalm 59- Even in the midst of trouble David desires to sing of God’s might. David knew that It is God who protects him from Saul and his evil schemes.

Psalm 59: In this Psalm, David claims God as “my God,” “my strength,” and “my fortress.” He is God of all nations yet very personal.

Psalm 59: We should wait upon our Lord; for he is our defence, in whom we shall be safe. He is our refuge in the day of trouble. The trials of his people will end in joy and praise. Let’s rejoice and praise him for ever.

Psalm 59:(v5,9,10,16)
You, Lord God Almighty,
You are my strength,
You are my fortress,
You are my God on whom I can rely,
You are my refuge in times of trouble.
You will go before me.
I will sing of your strength, your mercy and your love.

Psalm 59:16 I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble

“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely.”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭59:16-17‬
We can trust in God and rely on God to help us while we are in times of trouble because of God’s great love for us. When we call God for help he will give us confidence and strength to fight those troubles.

O my strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress,my loving God.God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me. Psalm 59:9-10.
But I will sing of your strength,in the morning I will sing of your love;for you are my fortess,my refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 59:16

But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. – Psalm 59:16. God is our fortress.

He is our strength!

Psalm 59 -Consume them till they are no more (v13). It seems David is so scared of his enemies so he asks God to destroy them.
-(Ephesians 4:26) “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.
-Which category do we belong to???!!!

David uses much repetition throughout Psalm 59. First, David talks a lot about the wicked. Verses 6 and 14 are alike, in that they talk about how the wicked are like dogs who are continually searching for food and are not satisfied. Second, David acknowledges that God is his Refuge, Defense, and Shield. We should always remember that God will protect His people. –

Psalm 59:9. God is or are stronghold and fortress in time of our trouble and when we need him the most. –
