Psalm 74

Psalm 74: Church is acquired by God and she is redeemed to be the tribe of His heritage. Church is God’s dwelling place. According to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are the church (our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit); we have been bought with a price; Holy Spirit dwells in us. We all belong to one tribe.

Psalm 74- Asaph is pleading on behalf of the nation. He is asking God to remember the tribe of his heritage.
Remember his dwelling place.
Remember impious people reviling God’s name.
Asaph also remembers God’s mighty acts.

In Psalm 74, Asaph cries out to God to relieve His people from their oppressors. Two key verses that I saw were verses 16-17: the day is His, the night is His, the light is His, the sun is His, the borders of the earth are His, and the seasons are His. Everything that sustains life falls under the control of God. –

Psalm 74:21 O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name

Psalm 74; in verses 1-11 the psalmist talks about something being destroyed by the enemies which is the temple in Jerusalem being destroyed, and he asks God why he is angry. He also remembers how strong our God is, he made everything!! In the end he questions God asking, if your are strong why would you let this happen!?
