Psalm 97: “The Lord loves those who hate evil; he guards the lives of his faithful; he rescues them from the hand of the wicked” (v. 10).
Psalm 97 tells us what will happen when everybody sees that God is king. (v2) There are black skies,(v3) There is fire.(v4)There is lightning. People are afraid of all these. When God appears at the end of time, people will be afraid. It will frighten them, like a bad storm frightens them. But the LORD’s people will not be afraid.
Psalm 97- The Lord is King.v1He is the Lord of all the earth.v5
He is supreme over all the earth.v9
It is a privilege to worship this great God.
Psalm:97″10. You who love the Lord , hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.”
God blesses and protects His people.
· He cares for their souls
· He delivers them from the wicked
· He sends light before their path
· He gives gladness unto them
Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart. – Psalm 97:11 Those who are right hearted shall also be glad hearted. Right leads to light

Many times we focus on other things besides God. These “idols” are only temporary and cannot have our attention all the time because after a while, people get bored. Our God is the “most high above all the earth; [He] is exalted far above all other gods” (v. 9). Let the heavens tell of His righteousness and the people sing of His glory. –
“Good people, be happy in the Lord! Praise his holy name!”Psalms 97:12
We should be good at all times and praise God. –
Psalm 97:God is with us, loving, guiding, rescuing us, giving us light and hope.God’s love and faithfulness surrounds us in this evil world. Therefore we can “rejoice in the Lord and give thanks to his holy name”.
Psalm 97 -(v11) Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.
-The righteous shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11), and those who have faith will never be in darkness, and those who are upright in heart will always have joy in everything.
