119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
2 அவருடைய சாட்சிகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு, அவரை முழு இருதயத்தோடும் தேடுகிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள். சங்கீதம் 119 :2
Psalm 119- “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word” (vv. 9). I want to live according to God’s word📖.
:Psalm 119: There is a lot of things that I can write about Psalm 119 but the thing that impacted me the most was verse 98. The Psalmist said that the commandments makes him wiser than his enemies. If we obey the commandments then we will be wiser than our enemies. I want to be wiser than my enemies so I will obey the commandments.
Psalm 119 is the longest psalm written by King David. There is a tradition that King David wrote this psalm as a means to teach his son Solomon the alphabet, not only the physical one, but also the spiritual one. Psalm 119:165 is an important verse because it promises that if we love God’s law, we will have great peace and nothing will cause us to stumble. –
“Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart— they do no wrong but follow his ways.”Psalm 119:1-3
This means that if we obey God’s laws, then we will be blessed.
Psalm 119:The general scope and design of this psalm is to magnify the divine law, there are 10 words by which divine revelation is called in this psalm, and each express what God excepts from us, and what we may except from him. (V2) promises blessing for people who obey God’s word and seek him wholeheartedly.
Psalm:119″How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.(v9)”
Even when one has the desire for moral purity, there are many things that may make it difficult for a young man to cleanse his way.
·Youthful energy and sense of carelessness.
· The lack of life wisdom.
· The desire for and gaining of independence.
· Money and the freedom that it brings.
· The desire to be accepted by peers who face the same challenges.
A life of moral purity does not happen accidentally. One must take heed in order to be pure. The foundation for a morally pure life is found in God’s word.
· God’s word shows us the standard of purity, so we know what is right and what is wrong.
· God’s word shows us the reasons for purity, so we understand the wisdom and goodness of God’s commands.
· God’s word shows us the difficulty of purity, and reminds us to be on guard.
· God’s word shows us the blessings of purity, and gives us an incentive to make the necessary sacrifices.
· God’s word is a refuge against temptation, giving a way of escape in the season of enticement.
· God’s word shows us how to conduct our life so that we are an encouragement to others in purity.
‘உணர்வுள்ளவனாக்கும்’ – this is one of the prayer that repeats in this psalm.- if we understand Him, we will be in the right path
Psalm 119- Like the Psalmist I want to delight, love, long and meditate on God’s word.I am wondering whether I consider God’s word as the greatest treasure.
Psalm 119: “Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble” (v. 165). Strong because they are anchored in his Word.
நான் பிழைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கு உமது இரக்கங்கள் எனக்குக் கிடைப்பதாக உம்முடைய வேதம் என் மனமகிழ்ச்சி-சங்கீதம் 119:77
Psalm 119 -(v73) Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.
-God created us, He formed/shaped us, we can understand His words/commands only with the help of His Spirit. We should ask our Lord for His Spirit to dwell in us forever.
