1 Thessalonians 2: In this chapter, the writers throw additional light on their authenticity. They stayed away from attempting to deceive, pleasing people, using words of flattery, being greedy and seeking glory from people. Instead, they pleased God; were gentle like a nursing mother, affectionate, holy, righteous, and blameless; and encouraged like a father.
