If you don’t pull the hood too much over your eyes on a chilly morning you can see the beautiful shades of red, yellow, brown and orange leaves and thank God in awe. When the sun struggles to take a peek through the thick gloomy clouds, the rabbits thankfully soak in the few minutes of warmth before creeping back into their dark cold burrows for the winter. After a hard day at work the sight of hot home cooked meal is definitely in the ‘thankfulness’ list!

An evening with my house full of my friends having coffee and fun is something I’m always thankful for. The telephone rings from my family living miles away waking me up on my birthday bring tears of joy. When I’m busy with my work and my daughter clings to my neck and says “I love you” the happiness in my heart reminds me to thank God for all the wonderful blessings he has showered on me. Count your many blessings; name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

What is common between a patient in a hospital in Nagercoil, a computer professional in Canada and a housewife in Sri Lanka? They all listen to the audio messages on our website.

From being purely static and informational our website has transformed into a fairly powerful ministry of our church, reaching places far beyond our expectations. Being in the software industry and working especially on the web domain, there is always a temptation to try out latest technologies and to jazz up the site. But I can attest to the fact and I’m sure Joe will agree that it is the biblical content that has attracted visitors and not our attempts at making the site look attractive.

Audio sermons are the most popular feature of our site. After much trial and error Joe has finally mastered the art of recording the sermons, overcoming our dreaded PA system’s inconsistencies. Also popular are the calendar and newsletters. Online crosswords have been added recently. The website is also an effective marketing arm, inspiring many to visit our church.

The goal of this ministry is simple, to reach as many people as possible with bible truths. Like most of our church ministries, the website ministry needs the support and participation of our members and friends.

Volunteers can help catalog the audio sermons by categories, update bible study notes, transcribe Tamil sermons in English and write articles.

The future looks good for this ministry, the more we learn the more we can teach. This ministry should become an active outreach ministry of our church reaching not only believers but even the unchurched. Pray for those involved in this ministry. Pray especially for those who will be touched by this ministry.

பிறர் துன்பங்கள் துடைப்பதில், இன்னல்கள் அகற்றுவதில், இடுக்கண் களைவதில் கிறிஸ்தோரே முன்ன‘ணியில் நிற்பார் என்றால் மிகையாகாது.ஆனால் கண்ணெதிரே கஷ்டப்படுவோர்க்குக் கரிசனை காட்டுவதென்பதைக் கொஞ்சம் கடினமான காரியமாக கருதுகிறோம்.

"அன்பு பகிர்வு இயக்கத்தின்" ஆயுள் சந்தாதாராகி நாம் "பீல்" இன மக்களில் பலுமியின் படிப்பிற்கென பண உதவி புரிவோம். அவன் படத்தை பிரிட்ஜில் ஒட்டவைத்து "அண்ணனுக்காக தினமும் ப்ரே பண்ணனும், சரியா?" என்று பிள்ளைகட்கு அன்பு கட்டளை விடுப்போம். ஆனால்... பேப்பர் போடும் பாலு " ஐயா, என் அப்பாவுக்கு திடீருன்னு வேலை போயிருச்சு. இந்த இரண்டு டெர்ம் பீஸை நீங்க கடனாக் கட்டி உதவினால் இந்த வருடத்துடன் கான்வென்ட் படிப்பை விட்டு விட்டு கவர்மென்ட் பள்ளியில் சேர்ந்து படிப்பைத் தொடர்வேன்.அப்பளம் கூட நாங்க போட்டு விற்கிறோம். கடனைக் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமா அடச்சிருவேன்”.என்று கலங்கி நின்றால்... "ஏம்ப்பா,என்ன பேசுற? முதல்ல தாய் தகப்பனைக் கவனி. அவங்கள விட உனக்கு படிப்பு முக்கியமா போச்சா?” என்று அவனுக்கு அறிவுறுத்தி ஐந்தாம் கட்டளைக்கு அதிரடி விளக்கம் கொடுத்து அனுப்புவோம்.

மகாராஷ்டிர வெள்ள,புயல்,பூகம்ப நிவாரண நிதிக்கென மழை வெயில் பாராமல் குழுக்களாக அலைந்து பணம் திரட்டி துயருறும் மக்களுக்குத் தொண்டாற்றிடுவோம்.ஆனால்... "அம்மா, நேத்து பேஞ்ச மழையில வீட்ல ஒரு பக்க சுவரு விளுந்திருச்சு. பசங்க படுக்க இடமில்ல.ஏதோ கொஞ்சம் கொடுத்தீங்கன்னா எடுத்துக் கட்டிருவேன். சம்பளத்தில புடுச்சிருங்க”. என்று வேலைக்காரி கண் கசக்கினால்... வந்து விடுமே கோபம். "ஏய் , நேத்து ப்ளாஸ்மா டீ.வி. வாங்கினதால பணம் புரளுதுன்னு நினைச்சுட்டியா? அது தவணை முறையில வாங்கினது.சீரியல் பாக்கலைன்னா எனக்கு முடியுமா இல்ல ஓரக்கண்ணால பாத்துகிட்டே வீடு துடைப்பியே அது ஒனக்குதான் முடியுமா? மழை முடியும் வரை பக்கத்துச் சேரியில இருக்கிற உன் நாத்தனார் வீட்டில தங்கிக்கிறதுதானே” என்று அமர்க்களமாக ஐடியாக்களை அள்ளி வீசுவோம்.

எங்கோ க‘ஷ்ட்டப்படும் கேன்சர் [அல்லது எயிட்ஸ்] நோயாளிகளுக்காக அடையாளச்சின்னங்களைப் பாக்கெட்டில் [ஏன் காரில் கூட] மாட்டிக்கொண்டு அலுவலகத்தில்,அறிந்தோர் தெரிந்தோரிடத்தில் அனுசரணையுடன் நிதி திரட்டுவோம். கூடப்பிறந்த சகோதரனின் மருத்துவச் செலவென்றால்..."கொஞ்சம் டைட் இந்த மாதம்...தம்பியை கேளேன்" என்று தாராளமாகத் தள்ளி நின்று விடுவோம். சர்ச் கமிட்டியாக முதியோர் இல்லம் சென்று துணி, உண்வு நல்கி அவர்களை மகிழ்விக்கும் நாம்...மழையில் கிணற்றடியில் தலையில் துணிப்போடுக்கொண்டு நம் துணி அலசும் வேலைகார பாட்டியை பாத்ரூமில் துவைக்கச் சொல்ல தயக்கம் காட்டுவோம்(கிரானைட் சுவற்றில் சோப்புத் தண்ணிர் தெளிக்குமே!)

கிறிஸ்தோரே ( கண்களால்) காணும் சகோதரரிடத்தில் கரிசனைக் காட்டுவோம். காணமுடியாத சகோதரருக்கும் நன்மை செய்வொம். நாம் ஆராதிப்பவர் சமீபத்திற்கும், தூரத்திற்கும் ஆண்டவராயிற்றே!

Roasting a whole turkey might be a big challenge for some, so try Roast Turkey Breast this time. This same marinade can be used for the whole young turkey too.

• 6 lbs of turkey breast
• 1 cup of plain yogurt
• 3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
• 3 inches ginger (sliced thin)
• 1 cup of chopped red onion
• 1 tsp of turmeric powder
• 1 tsp of cumin powder
• 1 tbsp of garam masala powder
• 2 tsp of chilly powder
• 3 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp black pepper powder
• 1 tbsp of salt
• 2 tbsp of soft butter.

Smear the turkey breast with little lemon juice, salt and black pepper and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Put all the ingredients in the blender except butter to make a smooth marinade.

Remove the turkey breast from the refrigerator and pour this marinade over, especially under the skin. Cover and refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours. Turning it every 6 hours will make it spread evenly. Preheat the oven to 475°F. Place the turkey breast on a deep roasting pan sprayed with non-stick cooking oil. Reduce the temp to 300°F after 25 minutes. Smear the softened butter on top every half hour. The cooking time is approximately 90 minutes. Insert the thermometer on the thick portion of the breast and when it reaches 160°F, remove and place it on a carving board. After 10 minutes slice, serve and enjoy.
For a young turkey double all the Ingredients. Cooking time: 12min/lb
