Thought for the month

In the last student’s fellowship meeting, we learned about leadership from the life of Nehemiah.

Nehemiah was a cup bearer, his main responsibilities includes tasting and consuming food to make sure that food was safe to be served to the King. That would mean if someone wanted to seek revenge on the king and went about poisoning the food, Nehemiah would be the first person to taste the poisoned food and wait for few hours before serving the food to the King.

Not very sure whether this is a fun job to be doing everyday but the most important thing here is that the King trusted Nehemiah a lot more than anyone in his Kingdom. The assumption here is that Nehemiah would have earned this trust by being honest, diligent and humble to the King at all times.

Was Nehemiah really humble?

How can you be humble like Nehemiah?

Is humbles really essential for a leader?

Then this is it....
